new glasses

threeplusfireMy glasses arrived this afternoon. They are so light I am almost afraid of them. I dig the titanium frames. They look almost like my old pair, but a little smaller and the frames are a bronze color. Had a bit of a headache adjusting to the new type of lenses, but it seems to have gone away.
Spent half an hour on the phone with Brett bantering about books, work and cats, and why he should stay in Austin this weekend instead of going to the East Coast to get stuck in snow. I am thinking Sunday we should have people over for cards and food, and we can have the football on in the background. I wrote a nasty letter to CBS today about their refusal to run the MoveOn ad depite allowing the White House into the Superbowl ad rotation.

Date: 2004-01-27 06:59 pm (UTC)The frames were made by Dakota Smith, and had the advantage of being on sale for about half price this quarter as a promotion. (Down to $115 as opposed to the usual $250) My doctor recommended them highly.

Date: 2004-01-28 01:59 pm (UTC)Gate's broken, so just drive straight in. Go as far back as you can and turn left. We're the last building on the right, #33. Apartment is #104. I'll probably be up and outside, but you can come in and see the giant cat!
