(no subject)

Went swimming this afternoon, in shockingly cold water. The sun felt good on my back. It helped dispell some of the headache. Cooked a steak for myself, seared in my dented frying pan with red wine, pepper, and garlic. It turned out pretty decent. I'll have to remember that the Columbia Crest merlot goes well with meat.

I look at the clock, or my watch, and I think, I should still be at work. Sigh. Useless.

Leaving a coke in the freezer is a delicate business. You don't want it to freeze solid, just get to the point where it becomes a slush. Thank heavens for caffiene and sugar and red meat, such delightful vices when needed.

Mwuhahah. I can't help having a few vices, now can I? In a town where so many people are vegetarian and vegan, I sometimes feel a tad awkward about my unabashed love for meat. Hurrah for steak!

More people should eat meat. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger :-P

Be careful if you freeze beer - it can become explosive on your furniture if you leave it in too long!

Heheh. Exactly. I will gain the strength of the cow by eating it! :P

Freezing beer just sounds dangerous. Hmm. Beer slush would be good though. This calls for experiments...

That whole combination would totally fix me right up. Thinking to slush the Coke is simply the mark of the connoisseur.

The steak came out way better than expected. I'll have to remember to start throwing wine in the pan more often. Usually I just grill it, but I didn't feel like hassling with the charcoal and such this afternoon.

I have way too much experience with freezing sodas. It's such a pain to clean when they explode.

I would simply comment on how great of an idea this is ... if it were not for the fact that I did the EXACT thing today as well!

... except I ahve a frozen bottle of wild turkey in the freezer that I added to the coke.

Still, meat good. Cue up the X files theme.

I finished off my nice bottle of Stoli a few weeks ago. But I think there's whiskey in the liquor cabinet. Hmm. Tempting. *taps fingers together, a la Mr. Burns*

I think we have a psychic food bond. :D

whiskey is ALWAYS a good idea! :)
ALWAYS!

Hehehe. With such an emphatic agreement, how can I not drink? ;)

Hehehe. In Czech, Mr. Burns says "Vyyyborrnee."

I have never heard of "Columbia Crest merlot" therefore I cannot get the idea out of my head that its minty flavored wine. Which sounds really gross. :(

Oh no, not at all. That would just be weird, I think.

Columbia Crest is the name of the vineyard/winery/whatnot. I like them a lot. Granted, my wine knowledge is rather sparse, but I do think their stuff is pretty good. Especially the reds.

swimming would sound good...

...if it were warmer outside.

It's been cold here lately. Grumbles.

I guess we, as humans, will never truly be happy with the weather.

That made me chuckle. Thanks.
I'm currently looking for employment as a house girl. I cook, I clean, deter intruders, and rub feet!
